{"id":1117,"date":"2025-11-04T10:29:30","date_gmt":"2025-11-04T10:29:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aegis.athenarc.gr\/?page_id=1117"},"modified":"2025-11-04T10:29:31","modified_gmt":"2025-11-04T10:29:31","slug":"roman-kephisos-valley-survey","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/aegis.athenarc.gr\/?page_id=1117","title":{"rendered":"Roman Kephisos valley Survey"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>AeGIS Athena Lab is participating in the <strong>Kephisos Survey<\/strong>, conducted by the <strong>German Archaeological Institute<\/strong> as part of the broader project <em>\u201cTopographical Research in the Kephisos Valley\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The survey focused on <strong>eight potential Roman and late Roman rural settlements<\/strong> located <strong>north of the Kephisos River<\/strong>, with distances between them ranging from <strong>200 meters to 1,500 meters<\/strong>. The archaeological remains, consisting mainly of <strong>surface pottery and building materials<\/strong>, were identified on <strong>low elevations within cultivated fields<\/strong>.
